You can call from your cell phone (510) 451-3939 as you approach or dial 000 on the intercom located right below the sign that reads 2240 J. When you call, I will open the gate to the parking area. Please enter, park and proceed up the stairs.
From Hwy 24 West or 580 West: Take 980 West Downtown Oakland Freeway. Take first exit 27th St. W. Grand Ave. At the light, continue straight until road ends at W. Grand Ave. Turn right on W. Grand. Continue approx. 5 blocks to Filbert St. (Filbert St. is 2 blocks past Market St.) Turn right onto Filbert St. Subterraneum is 9/10 of a block up on the right.
From Bay Bridge: After bridge, stay in far right lane. Take 880 turn-off and immediately take West Grand Ave exit. Take West Grand until you get to Filbert St. Filbert St is two blocks past the light at Adeline St. (6th stop light) Turn left onto Filbert St. Subterraneum is 9/10 of a block up on the right.
From Hwy 80: After Powell St. exit, freeway splits in two. Take left fork (580/880) but bear right onto 880. Immediately take West Grand Ave. exit. At the light, turn left onto West Grand Ave. Take West Grand until you get to Filbert St. Filbert St is two blocks past the light at Adeline St. Turn left onto Filbert St. Subterraneum is 9/10 of a block up on the right.
From Hwy 880: Stay in right hand lane and take 980 turnoff. Take 2nd exit (17th St.) Stay in left hand lane and continue 1 block to 18th St. and turn left. Take 18th St. to first light (Market St.) and turn right. At the light, turn left onto West Grand Ave. Go two blocks to Filbert St. Turn right onto Filbert St. Subterraneum is 9/10 of a block up on the right.
